A strong lager beer with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavor is light and there is a suggestion of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt, maltose syrup and hops.
Produced since 1998. 16.5°

How funny -- I go all this time without rating a malt liquor, and the first one I happen to try isn't one of the Americans, but a Russian one. Crystal clear straw body with large white foam. Aroma is grainy, sweet, alcohol, light herbal. Taste is medium sweet, grainy, finishing alcohol and light herbal. Undercarbonated mouthfeel, fairly light body for 8%.

This wasn't terrible. In fact, for 8% it was pretty drinkable. For a malt liquor, it was also pretty drinkable. But not that drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2004 Bottle. Very light looking beer with a cheap pilsner smell to it. There’s a malty sweetness with a strong alcohol taste which finishes with just enough hops (slightly bitter aftertaste). It’s smooth for the first few sips and not as bad as people make it out to be, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get it again..

Has a light yellow color with some carbonation and a hop smell. Taste is somewhat acidic and has a alcohol flavor. Overall a strong brew that I didn't like too much.

"Adjuncty" sweet with an alcohol bite from the middle to the finish. Gets worse as it warms.

Pale golden. Fruity/Sourish aroma and flavor. Not so much alcohol presence...

Huge frothy white head on pour and very clear light yellow in appearance with sticky lace. Nose is light malt. Corn sweetness and alcohol dominate flavor. Finish is acidic and dry. The aftertaste of this beer is the best thing about it- although still bad. I could barely finish the bottle. I think the russians do worse at creating malt swill than the americans do.

Now thats my kind of Malt Liquor. I guess to survive the ice cold winters of Russia, you need something with a little kick. Its like the vodka of beers. Light and to the point! Aroma is definitely of alcohol. Taste is a little hop, a little malt, and a lot of alcohol. Although very high on the alcohol side, I enjoyed it more than I was expecting. I picked it up on a closeout deal for 99 cents a bottle at my favorite liquor store. I am gonna have to go back and see if I can get more.
