Sort of a honey flavored Olde English 800! The alcohol was well hidden behind some overly sweet honeylike taste. I imagine the ghetto liquor store in Moscow having rows of this in the cooler.

The high alcohol content is masked well in this light, pils type beer. A sweet honey flavor is present. Compared to big-American malt liquor brews, this holds its own.

What is everyones problem with this beer? Yes it has an AC of 8%. So don’t down it like you would an American light beer. I found that it had a very enjoyable taste as I swirled it around in my mouth before letting it slide down my throat. I slowly drank a bottle while watching the first period of a hockey game. When I was finished I could tell that it was stronger than most, but it is to be enjoyed, not swilled.

Judging from the picture this beer is Baltika 9 Krelkoe, which is the one I’ve tried. Pale yellow. Fruity aroma. Alcohol is prominent, rather clean, but some vegeatble aroma. Sweet, low bitterness. Typical malt liquor.

This is definitely a malt liquor cuz you can really taste the alcohol. This beer could mess you up BIG! ’Extra’ in the title is for how extra wasted you’ll get. A slight sweetness pervated the taste.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body
is clear light yellow. Aroma is light malty (grain, cereal), lightly
hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (soap), with hints of DMS and alcohol.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is
lightly sweet, lightly bitter, moderately acidic. Light to medium body,
watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Smells bad, too
sweet, sour finish, more alcohol than it can elegantly bear, etc.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
For a strong beer this seemed quite light in appearance (though a little cloudy) and taste. It reminded of budweiser somewhat--the pilsner style in general--though it was quite sweet. Similar to American macros in quality, but about twice as strong (if the label is correct)>

After definitely favorable reactions to the Baltika lager and dark beer, I regret to report that this one totally does not work for me. However, as Meat Loaf once said, two out of three ain’t bad.

Surprisingly not heavily alcoholic, despite the tag. Looked and smelled like a pils. Huge carbonation and a sweet (corn syrup?) and creamy mouthfeel kept the alcohol from being too biting. A decent brew, if for nothing less than knocking back in lieu of Vodka. History says they use Russian grown malts and hops. Not bad.
