A strong lager beer with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavor is light and there is a suggestion of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt, maltose syrup and hops.
Produced since 1998. 16.5°

Pour is a sickly yellow. Aroma is very malty. Flavor is just alcohol and lots of it! Nothing stands out in this brew other than it has lots of alcohol. I guess it will keep you warm on cold Russian nights.

Bottle in Tomsk, Siberia. This beer is terrible. It’s thin even for the amount of alcohol in it, pours a fizzy yellow, and tastes like a Bud with a shot of vodka added.

Pours like an American standard, pale yellow, fizzy and a thin white head. Aromas were not much better; filler corn, rice, mustiness and a syrupy sweetness. Some maltiness comes through in the palate, but outdone by the flavors of corn and sugar syrup. Like drinking carbonated, beer-flavored pancake syrup. Big disappointment compared to their porter.

Appearance: clear, pale yellow color, utterly transparent and shallow, but blessed with a full and frothy pure white head. Aroma: ill. Corny, flat, typical of most pale lagers, but with no redeeming qualities, sticky sweet, too, almost painfully so... Taste: NONE!!! Clean, empty, but potent in the strength. A panther in pajamas, silky, but strong, and ultimately very thinly bodied, and utterly flavorless. As has been noted previously, a basic Baltic malt likka...who needs it...learn from my sad experience...avoid like the bubonic plague!!!

Nice golden color, medium sized white head that actually lasted for some time. The aroma was light malt, hops and lemon grass. The taste was not nearly as good as the aroma.Malty and sweet with an odd mixture of medicinal coming through, corn and hops are there along with the alcohol makeing it’s presence known.Definately not a very good Malt Liquor but i guess it probably has a place somewhere, like maybe Thurs.in the chat.try it once but i wouldn’t bother with much beyond that.

Straw color with a slight haze and a medium white head that quickly disapates. Grainy/cereal aroma.Flavors of buring alcohol, thin for the style? Finishes clean and dry.

Malt and corn nose. Morning urine color, soapy head. Sugary and corny with a sticky mouthfeel - it hides the alcohol behind sweetness - and now my drain is hiding the brew.

Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Cereal aroma with some stale fruits. Fizzy palate, with some wateriness. I may be rating this a bit high, but for the price this is good beer.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2004 Bottled. Hmm, it’s been a while since I had a malt liquor; think back to winter of ’89, I was hangin’ wit’ my homez, splitting a 40 of St. Ides at the White Castle on 115th... But this is a different time and place, specifically, Russia. Has the same cloying sweetness of a Baltika 3. Yes, I can already feel the alcohol headache coming on. I guess it’s just a shade below an inoffensive beer. Well, I was warned about the beer in Russia, wasn’t I?
Re-Rated, canned. Okay, trying it again, the alcohol warmth is kind of welcoming. There's still a big sugary taste, but for some reason it doesn't bother me as much.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2010 Deep golden with a sweetness in aroma and flavor. Soda-like carbonation. Malty, but sickly sweet.
