2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured into a plastic cup. Finger and half of head. Golden colored with a tinge of copper.
Smells of wet malt and candy.
Super sweet taste beginning to end. Nothing else happening here.
Medium body, low carbonation. Fairly crisp for high ABV and malt content.
With a high ABV it gets the job done. Nothing else to see here folks.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma of honey and corn syrup. Pours clear gold with a decent soapy white head that leaves lacing. Flavor is syrupy sweet, not enough balance, very grainy and sweet. Has a nice alcohol kick, some Russian hooch for your gullet. It’s better than most American macros, at least it’s neither a dirty fermentation nor dominated by adjunct grains. Cloyingly sweet, like a corn syrup bomb, don’t think I will repeat.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - light golden with a fizzy white head that fades to nothing. Aroma of honey, malt, toasty malt and a touch of fruit. Taste is syrup and treacle followed by some roasty malt and light bitterness. Slightly warming - a bit watery. Medium body, strong carbonation. Best of the Baltikas that I’ve had, surprisingly.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden colour. Aroma has a bit of sweet malt and is slightly metallic. Tastes like a typical strong lager. Offers very little flavour, just a warming alcoholic sensation.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 mL bottle into a pint glass. Clear, golden, gassy with a good foamy head. The aroma is ok, malty with plenty of hop, but not very adventurous. Malty, bitter, but surprisingly smooth for the strength. Has a cereal, Shreddies like aftertaste. Not too considering but I’m not going to be insisting my friends try it.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at home from notes 2011. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet grainy malt, corn, skunky notes, faded hops, a hint of floral, very mild bitterness, dry finish. Not very good.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma: Sweet and corn puffy with a whiff of something that almost reminds me of a pear liquer. Appearance: Royal gold with a white head that settles into a bubbly ring. Flavor: Spirit-like, and fruitier than any lager should be with some weird pear esters; corn sweetness is there, but it’s not unpalatable. Alcohol lets it’s Russian flag fly. Palate: Full body, thick texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Hard to rate this by the numbers; it’s a pretty poor lager overall, but is pretty cheap and fills your need for something a little more stiff. And, really, I didn’t find myself saying "this is terrible" but rather "I like this more than I want to admit." My rating reflects the latter.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml. can from Kyoto Yamaya. Strongish sweet malt nose, with light alc. fumes. Clear pale straw, thick fluffy white head, good lace. Sweet fruity initial, peaches, carrot juice, white wine, grain serious alc. warmth, very little bittering. Thin-medium body. Heavy duty grainy stuff. Overall, not so good. A beer that you feel rather too quickly, without any compensating flavors to make it worthwhile.
