foduck (300), Denton, Texas, USA Apr 5, 2007 the only good thing about this is that the 8% alcohol isnt real obvious. other than that it’s a boring, bland beer. not much flavor or aroma to speak of. Zzzzzzz.....
gsmitty80 (533), Washington DC, USA Oct 1, 2008 This beer was decent in a bottle, im sure it was rather old. Tasted heavy with much alcohol but it was nicer than normal thin light baltic beers. Packs a kick and comes in a pint. alexanderj (1338), San Diego, California, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Don’t know how long I have had this one; thought it was just a pale lager, so had decent, rather than no expectations. Poured a clear, pale gold; carbonation streams. White head. Aroma of bread and sweet malt; a hint of herbal/medicinal aroma. Flavor was sweet, but beyond that very sugary; even in the mouthfeel. Very malty, little hops. Bready. About as one dimensional as you can get. Still not terrible, just something one should enjoy in extreme moderation. SamGamgee (585), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 27, 2008 50cl bottle. Nice clear gold-lots of bubbles and a sustaining head. sweet bready malt aroma, with a hint of plastic. Overwhelming synthetic sweetener taste. Ok. I’m going to go puke now. This is completely un-drinkable. Snojerk321 (1009), San Diego, California, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Poured a clear golden color ale with a big bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of sweet malt with a dose of cough medicine. Taste is more enjoyable then I was expecting with a nice base of sweet malt, limited amount of corn or adjunct is detectable and then cough medicine appears at the end to ruin it all. Could have been worse but could have been a lot better. 944play (26), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 25, 2008 16.9oz in weizen glass. Pours clear yellow with low head. Smell of a typical macrolager, light grain. "How bad can it be," I thought. Then I took a sip. "Oh." I’d still pick this over, say, hemlock, or Steel Reserve.
