COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong lager beer with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavor is light and there is a suggestion of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt, maltose syrup and hops.
Produced since 1998. 16.5°

Very blond with a small head. Some soft hop and alcohol aroma. Smooth sweet slightly hopish taste. The alcohol is there but is surprisingly well covered in such a fairly flavourless beer.

Russian malt liquor? Yeah, it tastes like it. Golden yellow, fizzy head. Doughy aroma. Watery mouthfeel. A stong alcohol presence was also appearant, making this otherwise lightly flavored beer hard to choke down.

Pale golden. Fruity/Sourish aroma and flavor. Not so much alcohol presence...

How funny -- I go all this time without rating a malt liquor, and the first one I happen to try isn't one of the Americans, but a Russian one. Crystal clear straw body with large white foam. Aroma is grainy, sweet, alcohol, light herbal. Taste is medium sweet, grainy, finishing alcohol and light herbal. Undercarbonated mouthfeel, fairly light body for 8%.

Looks pretty much like an ordinary lager but the sweet and alcoholic aroma/flavour reveals the style. Surprisingly thick mouthfeel but the finish lacks hops and is too sweet. As the beer warms, the grain becomes more apparent; it should definitely be served cold!

UPDATED: APR 21, 2004 A clear golden (urine) yellow with a large diminishing white head. Mostly sweet, slightly sour aroma of cereal, honey, and soap with hints of straw and peach. Light-medium watery body with lively carbonation. Flavor is mostly sweet with honey, light bread, pepper and straw coming through. The sweetness is kind of odd and unfamiliar (adjunct related?). Somewhat astringent. Not really offensive, just not good. At least now I will have the 'Malt Liquor' style category filled.

Yellow and fizzy. Head virtually runs away, perhaps it knows better. Aroma is almost sickly sweet. Taste is remarkably the same. Alcohol is not disguised at all. Some sort of bitter/astringency at the end, very sharp. Well, I have at least knocked off another beer style.

Not as bad as I expected. Tasted like an AMerican standard, with a slightly sweet/alcohol flavor in there too.

Light amber color. Medium head that dissipates slowly. Light cabonation. Taste is not as bad as some of the reviewers claim, but not very interesting either. Similarly, the high abv is not overwhelming, but is evident. Basically, a high octane light beer that is not bad, but not memorable either

Pale yellow, white head. Malty aroma. Very strong alcohol flavor, some malts but the alcohol kills everything else.
