Judging from the picture this beer is Baltika 9 Krelkoe, which is the one Iíve tried. Pale yellow. Fruity aroma. Alcohol is prominent, rather clean, but some vegeatble aroma. Sweet, low bitterness. Typical malt liquor.

Malt and corn nose. Morning urine color, soapy head. Sugary and corny with a sticky mouthfeel - it hides the alcohol behind sweetness - and now my drain is hiding the brew.

Bottle...although I donít think draught wouldíve helped matters much. Poured out a very pale yellow-gold...minimal head. Skunk-malts dominate the aroma....and they got skunkier as it warmed in the glass. The flavor was dominated by sweet malts, some bitterness, but I fear it was due to something other than hops. You can sense the alcohol...there was nothing else there to mask that. Yep...EuroColt45. Blah.

Mom said it best, "Itís sweet!" Too sweet for me. Well thatís where all the alcohol comes from. Yellow in color. Aroma of a barnyard, a clean one though. White fluffy head. Not much to it, just sweet. AND STRONG.

16.9 oz bottle - How does the same brewer that makes an excellent porter make this beer? This malt liquor pours pale yellow and fizzy with a one finger white head. It smells of grain and booze. It tastes of grain and booze. Thereís virtually no hops presence. Itís thin and has little to nothing in the way of redeeming qualities. The average rating here was higher than I expected. The high ABV isnít because itís good for the style or any other reason except to get you drunk faster. If thatís all you want, have a couple shots. Donít buy this beer.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2006 The aroma has rubbing alcohol and what seems like rice malt. The appearance is pale gold. The flavor is like so many malt liquors out there. It is metallic, sweet, and sour. The palate is thin. This beer actually gave me a stomach ache. I donít think this junk could even be sold as a 40oz bomber at 7/11 for $1.99 a bottle. I couldnít even finish the bottle, a complete drain pour.

Bottle, picked up at the Russian delicatessens on Cowley Rd, Oxford 18-12-06. Pours a quite light golden colour, initially seemed heavily carbonated resulting in a flurry of belching, but it and I calmed down a bit. This is way too harsh, alcohol too present, strange sweetness,in fact I can see me slinging the rest of this bottle before I finish this rating, bloody awful, nope thatís it down the drain for you boyo!

Pours morning urine yellow with big foamy white head. Sickeningly sweet. So sweet I couldnít finish a 16.9oz bottle. Most of it went down the drain.

Bottle: Light brown pour with no head to speak of. Very little carbonization. Scent of fruit and a hint of alcohol. Taste is overpowering of alcohol.

Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Downtown Charlottesville. Very light and pale orangish yellow with a huge head, but little lacing or retention. Bitter, citrus and grassy aroma. This beer is freaking sweet... high fructose corn syrup kinda sweet. I guess the maltose syrup listed in the ingredients on the bottle is responsible for that. Cloying and overwhelming. Bleh.
