Yellow and clear. Large head of frothiness. Looks like the surf being washed up on a beach. Lightly acidic aroma with some hints of corn and that sort of thing. The flavor follows suit, but there is quite a note of honey. Finishes off sort of offensive. I’m not sure I can get through the entire bottle... but I’m a trooper!

Bottle (complete with goofy pull-tab cap). Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of honey and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, ightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Yeah, the honeyish-hoppy (Hallertauer?) aspect of the nose is kinda nice, but that’s pretty much the only saving grace. It’s grainy, unclean, industrial, and icky-sweet. But we all know that the world can never have too many fizzy yellow lagers, so I can understand Baltika feeling obliged to churn out yet another one.

Ughsmash (5820) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - APR 26, 2007
Thanks to murrayswine and the guy that was trying to sell this to him! Poured a clear, very bright golden with a short-lived cap of white head... cool, and remarkably cheap-looking pull tap cap. Aroma picked up pale malts with some corn and a mild herbal presence.. nothing offensive but nothing really good going for it. Flavor had sweet, grainy herbal notes and pale biscuity malts with more adjunct presence than the nose... again not offensive, but not good. Light-bodied... leaving a tacky feeling at the finish. Drinkable for what it is, but not worth seeking out.

Bottled. Sweetish citric aroma and palate. Refreshing and drinkable but lacking in complexity.

Pours a golden shower color, with a huge white head. Has hints of corn and other grains. Finishes clean. Thanks Dragonstout.

Pours a translucent hay color.Has a corn and citrus aroma.Flavors of malt and some lemony zest.Definetly a veggie beer, no meat in the body.the after taste lingers a bit but finally dissappears.

SoLan (1550) - Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2007
Clear yellow/gold and a modest, frothy white cap. Smells of grainy, corny, lightly biscuity malt. Same flavor, better than the aroma, but most unimpressive. Light body, balanced. Don’t waste your money.

Jukkabro (3471) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 29, 2006
Light yellow colored, medium sized white head. Lemony, slightly carboardy aroma with dominating sweetness. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor has even stronger lemon with esters and sweetness, aftertaste is slightly sour with unclean cardboard. Somehow watery palate.
