Bottle from State Line. Medium gold with fizzy white head. Aroma and taste are hopcitric, with mild pale malt and some Caro syrupy apricotty notes. THis one was better than expected, with no off aromas or flavors.

Bottle. Weak malt aroma. Clear yellow colour with soft white head. Rather sweet flavour with just a slightly bitter finish. Very soft and gentle mouthfeel despite rich carbonation.

Bottle sample at a Baltika tasting. Thanks (or no thanks?) Keren. Clear golden with a quickly-disappearing small white head. Grainy aroma with some sugar and some chemicals. Sweet chemical flavor with some cereals. Watery. Awful.

Look at this. It looks like urine in a bottle. The aroma and flavor are that of a stronger pale lager. Not good but certainly agrressive. Can’t believe they think this is worth 4 bucks

I asked a Russian night shop owner what foreign beer he could recommend from his cooler. He told me that he doesn’t drink beer himself. His recommendation shows.
