Boystout (824), Chisinau, Moldova Apr 24, 2007 Bottled. Sweetish citric aroma and palate. Refreshing and drinkable but lacking in complexity.
SHIG (1554), Oberoffligen, Germany Sep 28, 2008 Bottle: Poured a clear pale yellow with a froathy head. Aroma is light grass. Taste is corny and grass. ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Sep 25, 2008 $2.29 16.9 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: There’s this fun, engaging pull-tab top -- I guess to deliver on the "cooler" promise. Crystal clear, yellow body with a small, white head.
Smell: Somewhat sweet-smelling pale malt nose with faint notes of citrus, drying hay, and, oddly enough, crushed mint leaves.
Taste: Sweet light pale maltiness without being too terribly sweet. Hint of honey for a bear-shaped container. Spoonful of creamed corn. Floral hops with a light, drying bitterness. Tiniest hint of mint. Finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Not altogether bad considering it’s one of the Euro Pale Lager horde and, amazingly, it’s free from any skunking. However, you could easily find something comparable and cheaper produced here in the US. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 10, 2008 Clear bottle, 4.7%. Weak citric aroma. Clear yellow colour. Good white head. The flavour is of course mild, starts off with a little hay, turns a bit alcoholic which is surprising. Quite harmless. If it is intended as a flavourless summer beer, it is quite succesful. jbuzz (513), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 3, 2008 A nice refreshing lighter pale lager. On track with American beers but better. Grain with just a hint of malt. ChristianScheffel (2250), Odense, Denmark Aug 25, 2008 Pale yellow with a small white head. Sweet aroma of artificial lime. Sweet with a touch of malt flavour and citric acid.
