WARNING, Not one of the 12 GREATEST BREW! I have to sample all 12, as my wife got this for me and with her not liking ratebeer as it is, I want her to think she did good. The thought counts.

A novel idea. "12 greatest beers of the world". But, no, let's make a batch of amber, bottle it and put different labels on it. OK, not quite true, but The differences between these beers, even though said to be different style was scary. All would have done well in a amber ale competition.

Banana Republic label, stale Coors Light with cigar tobacco, vegetable oil, and recyled newspaper additives. The sad thing about this whole rating is the fact that I will end up in the top fifty raters becuase of this twelve pack. Guilt builds, but I'm downthing them (at least my taster glass full)!!

I am not sure how to differentiate this from the rest of the carbonated vomit in this twelve pack... wait wait.. I will not just cut and paste.. I will mention that this is the least offensive of the swill-medley. But to call it a pale ale is like calling a sheetrock screw a watermelon.

As with the rest of the beers from this sampler pack - this was terrible. Fizzy golden orangish slightly hoppy - and I mean SLIGHTLY. By far the worst IPA ever.

Part of the "12 Greatest Brews of the World" sampler pack found at my local Wal-Mart. I have to give credit to the labels of these beers because they are actually quite informative. You can learn a lot about how particular beers are made and how they get their names. Unfortunately, the knowledge to glean only serves to make you realize how horribly wrong these beers are compared to what they should be. Case in point: This beer pours a dark yellow color with a thick white head. Slight floral hops aroma. Probably the least hops bite in any IPA I have ever had. This is still one of the better Old European brews I have had though, because it is not as sour and dry as the others. Still a pathetic rendition of an IPA though.
