2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, chocolate malt with faint peanut notes. In mouth, a smooth stout with light milk chocolate, a bit of off acidity, salty notes, so-so. On tap at Seneca Lodge Brewfest, Dec. 3 2011.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pouring at TAP NY. Pours a hazed brown to black with a thin beige head. Toast and roast on the nose, light char notes. Sweet roast, spicy jalapeno notes, with a touch of peanut butter, but a bit odd though. Chocolate and toast, with a long bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Growler at RBSG. Pours black. Nose is ridiculously amazing Reese’s peanut butter cups and sweet milk chocolate. Taste is the same, but very muted. Mostly bitter chocolate with some peanut butter. Light lactose sourness. Something lacking in the body. I could smell this beer all day though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Ridiciulous peanut buttery aroma, with some chocolate and lightly roasted malts. Similar flavor, outrageous peanut butter and chocolate. Unique and tastey, though I can’t imagine I could drink a ton of this stuff.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Sampled at Tap NY, 4/27/13
Aroma: Sweet aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, and roasted malts
Appearance: It pours a dark brown-black color with a brown head
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, sweet chocolate/peanut butter, and roast
Palate: The body is fairly light for the style, but plenty drinkable
I thought this one was pretty fun, and in general, not necessarily in a beer sense, I’m a fan of the chocolate and peanut butter combo.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours deep brown with a thick foamy tan head...decent retention. aroma has tart dark fruit atop choc and natural peanut butter...almost a raspberry jelly thing. flavor has dark fruit and roast up front...almost comes across like choclate and raspberry...mild nutty/peanut buttery undertones...slight tartness...possible infection. mouthfeel is medium and the finish is roasty/fruity/nutty. all in all this could use much more peanut butter and could be infected...comes off as a PB & raspberry J sammie. not sure the fruitiness is intended...maybe consistency issues given recent ratings.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample at Seneca Lodge Brewfest. 03DE11.
App.: Deep brown-black, no head.
Aroma: Tight, bright black coffee, tangy-nutty, a hint of unpleasant barf.
Palate: Medium body, very limited effervescence, a bit astringent.
Flav.: Dark-roasted malts, grape gum, somewhat nutty, not terrible, a little odd; dry with limited bitterness and a fairly long mouth-coating finish.
Not as expected. Not sure what was expected though...
