1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 caesar (3747) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2005
It looks quite exotic, but it’s just brewed in England. Dusty aroma, some apple maybe. Dry taste, hay.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Ugly label, ugly beer. Tastes like a cardboard strong european lager but without the 7% or so alcohol.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jerohen (1793) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Dutch Ratebeer meeting. First more or less ok head of the evening. Flavour resembles a British IPA a little bit. Enough bitterness, but not overly entertaining.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 bierkoning (8099) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Apple and cardboard aroma. Bitter walnut flavor with apple. Sad excuse for a beer.
1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - APR 9, 2005
Aroma is grainy with some apple in it. Clear, golden coloured with not much head (white). Some hops in it, some apple. Kind-a dirty taste. Ugly dry cardboard palate. What a crap.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2005
It is good with curry (taste buds temporarily comprimised), but I wouldn’t chose to drink it otherwise. Golden coloured, mostly mild flavoured, bit of malt, touch of hops, some metal. Much better than Kingfisher, Cobra etc, but still not very good.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2005
Bottled. Golden colour, no head. Sweet and grainy, some rice flavour. Low bitterness. Strikingly pointless.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 MrWalker (926) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 7, 2005
Cask @ Babajan, Ethographic Museum, Stockholm Backlog 4 Dec 2004 Marked up as a beer from Bangladesh. Duh! Big head. Harsh maltiness. Perfumed.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 nigos (623) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2004
Pissy lager colour. Skunky nose. Slightly sweet malty, perfumy taste. Good for only one thing drinking with curry. You can’t taste the stuff then!
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rauchbier (3203) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2004
Bottle, from Sainsbury’s. Gold, thin but longlasting white head and good soft (almost natural) condition. Clean nose with some low maltiness and just a hint of hop. Quite sweet and full bodied in the mouth with notes of honey and faint butterscotch. Some hop bitterness develops becoming chalky in the finish with a slight metallic edge.
