Bangla Beer - its colour...the golden hue of the sun setting over the Bay of Bengal. Bangla Beer - its taste...a rich full flavour with an extraordinarily smooth taste. Chamotkar!"

Curses! Foiled again in an attempt to tick another country. Sad, I know. Any way, this pale lager (4.8% these days) has an orange tinge to the clear golden pour, and the thin white head goes quickly. Aromas of cardboard and cooked vegetables. Taste is kind of sweet, kind of chemically. Not very good.

Bottled Pale golden with a large white head. Dry, papery; like pouring flour in your mouth. Sourish and artificial with notes of aceton.

It looks quite exotic, but it’s just brewed in England. Dusty aroma, some apple maybe. Dry taste, hay.

Bottle at Mr Hangover’s 2014 Nieuwjaarsborrel, Den Haag and supplied by Beers of Europe. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast and stale malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a super watery light malt palate. They might love this in Bangladesh.... but

660 ml bottle, as Bangla Premium Beer, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Very cool design of bottle and label. Brewed and bottled in the UK for LWC Ltd., Manchester, M11 2ER. Pale yellow colour, big white head. Fairly nice flowery aroma. The flavour is rather sweet with noticeable pilsener malts, bordering on "sugary", but not quite there. Some floral notes, hints of alcohol but not disturbingly so. Low bitterness. Not a great beer, but not awful either, should be acceptable to wash down a curry.

330ml bottle. The brewer is named as the Far East Beer Company, which is the Refresh UK group who are using the Burtonwood and Wychwood breweries at the moment. This is a lager brewed in the British style so that it almost comes across as a poor quality session bitter. Firmish body with some lingering plastic bitterness. Not great, but drinkable if you don't think about it too much.
