Light blond color. Light honeyish malt aroma. Dry taste, very much grainy. Quite strong bitterness. Could be a reasonable thirst quencher.

Light fragrance and flavor of malt and grassy hops. Quite thin in flavor. A very boring, but not disgusting beer! Works probably great as a thirst quencher in a hot country like Gambia. Experiencing little difference in the two variants: "Banjul Jul Brew Export" and "Banjul Jul Brew".

Bottle. Pours clear golden with almost no head. Aromas of hay, boiled vegetables, sugar and canned corn. Flavors of citrus and sugar. Thanks Rasmus!

So while ordinary Jul Brew is ok, this isn’t that good at all. Hard to like it at all really, its not easy to drink in midday heat as its just sugary and way too strong for what it is, a dull lager.

Thanks to larsniclas for going to Gambia just to bring this home to me... :-) Pale golden, no head. Sweet aroma, some honey. Thin, with some sweetish flavor. No finish, and hardly no carbonation.

Thanks to Rick Gordon:Bottle. Golden colour, with a thin foam. Aroma of hony, and sweet something? Thin body, with little of bitternes in finish. Nice to try, but No good beer.

Pale straw yellow, almost transparent. Thin head. Somewhat sourish aroma with notes of sugar, grass and honey. Sour flavour with hints of lemon and vegetables. Thin bodied, watery. Low bitterness in finish. Short aftertaste.

Bottled. Golden colour. Sweetish nose with hints of honey. Light body. No Co2. Bit sugary in flavour. No bitterness.

Bottled. Pale golden, small white head. Dry corn-aroma; some bread too. Too sweet in the flavour and loads of cereal.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a small - very small - creamy head. A faint touch of hops in the nose but the bitterness is pretty much absent. A hint of malt and an odd underlying small tartness. A wee bit stronger than the Julbrew Lager but exactly as characterless. 150505
