Cask@GBBF2007. Dark rubyish amber colour, brown small head. Aroma is really roasted, coffeeish, wooden and slightly dark chocolateish. Flavour is very wooden caramelly and slightly roasted coffee.

Cask, GBBF. Shiny brown, cream cap of foam. Chocolate, green grass aroma, a bit of mineral character that borders on sulfur, but is actually depth enhancing here. Spicy rich chocolate blended with a bit of rustic bread and gentle bitterness. Subtle and very fine.

Really excellent mild one of the best iv ever tried. Both aroma and taste are dominated by coffee and roasted barley, but really balanced and full bodied for the strength.

Tasted at the Luton Beer Festival, dark brown, no head. A bitter malt aroma with chocolate and coffee. Light and smooth, sweet malt with a touch of coffee.

Cask stillage @ CAMRA Winter Ales Festival,New Century Hall Manchester. Quite strong for a mild. Full bodied with strong burnt, coffee notes. Noticeably bitter finish. Another really good example of this style of beer.

Cask conditioned, GBBF 2005: Burnt coffee in the aroma. Some beans are noticable in the flavour. Not particular mild. Quite bitter finish.

Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Beautiful lustrous black colour, with a large, fluffy head which looks very inviting. Rich, oily mouthfeel, with an ice cream sweetness. Oaty flavour, berry hints and some warming spice. Delicious and full bodied. Very good stuff, definitely at the strong end of the Mild scale.
