Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, mild coffee, mocca, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2004] A brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty and somewhat roasted. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of coffee and chocolate. Nice Mild.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 08. Dark ruby with lasting bubbly beige head. Mild aroma, some choc. Rather a nice dark mild aroma. Bit of tarryness. Decent in mouth, some dark fruits, a little choc powder. Good dark mild with a good fruit/choc mix. I can see why it gets some solid scores.

Cask conditioned at Merton Summer B.F ’08. Red brown with cream head. Again a slightly sweetish, fruity mild with a touch of boiled prune going on. Darkly roasted, earthy malts with a hint of bitumen, liquorice. A decent solid beer.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Sussex Beer Festival. Dark mahogany brown colour. Coffee malt aroma with nice earthy and fruity notes. Lots of fruit, chocolate malt and coffee in the mouth with a lovely dry and earthy finish. Very downable. A jolly good mild.
