Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, caramel, chlorine notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090718]

[Cask at GBBF] Deep golden. Sweaty flowery hop aroma. Medium sweet, very soft. There’s some citrus and a pleasant cellary character. Drier salty finish. Individualistic and very well structured.

Cask at GBBF 06. Gold. Disappearing white head. Farty yeast. Some hop. Soft in mouth. Farty yeast runs through it. Bit of hop on finish, but just too yeasty.

Golden coloured ale with some sweetness and pale malt content. Hoppy finish.

Cask @ Bar Fringe in Manchester. Soft vinous, dusty aroma. Very fruity flavor, vinous with touches of lemon and band aids. Could be much better without the by-flavors.

Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at Harbury Beer Fest ’10. Gold with white head. Simple fruity plummy beer, a touch sweetish, some underlying hops. It’s ok.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown Inn.
Golden with a white head. Sweet lagerish malt with some nice bitter hops. Decent balance. Dry and bitter finish. Straight forward but reasonably tasty.

Gold colour (obviously). This golden ale is more in the mellow quasi-lager mould than the zesty hoppy style. There are some citric hop notes in the aroma and, to a lesser extent, in the flavour, but the overall impression is soft and easy drinking without too much bite. The mouthfeel is clean and there’s nothing wrong with this as a quaffer, but it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. I prefer something a little more assertive. Cask (gravity), Red Lion Beer Festival, Isleworth.

Honey and citrus fruits in the aroma. Taste is similar with soem floural hops also. Very easy to drink plesent ale.
