Cask (handpump) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, grape, lemon, light brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (190108)

Cask at the Smithfield Hotel in Manchester. Another good Manchester beer. Nice amber colour, a lot of floral notes in it which isn’t really my thing. This has a better balance than most in my opinion. The right amount of flowers and alcohol for the style I thought.

Perfect colour for a bitter with an excellent white head. Floral hop aroma with loads of lemon and other citric stuff. Lovely grassy and earthy notes in the flavour on a strong base of sweetish malt and pleasing bitter hop finish. Proper English beer.
