A Mes rate: Cask at the Marble Arch.
A very pale gold with a sparkler induced head and lace. Slight sweaty socks in the aroma but with some decent malt and hops underneath. I get the feeling I have said that before about a Bank Top beer. Nice hoppy flavour and something I can only describe as a fresh towel after a shower. Ok, maybe I’m loosing my marbles a little. Bready malt finish with some eventual bitterness. Typical run of the mill northern bitter.

(Cask at Crown, Stockport, 29 July) Colour is golden amber with a frothy white head. Nose is fruity with lemon and a grassy hop aroma. Taste is fruity with lemon, grapefruit and a grassy hoppiness in the long, rather dry, finish. Very refreshing.

1/2 Pint at NERAX 06. Pours a nice golden color with a small white foamy head. Nose is lightly hoppy, quite faint. Taste is lots of hops with a great bitter touch to it that is not overdone but enough to give the palate a bit of a sting. A light sweet malt and caramel presence here and there.
