Cask; Seasonal - Christmas.
A rich an fruity copper coloured beer with a hoppy finish.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark gold with a small off white head. Slight citric aroma, possibly grapefruit. Thick heavy oily citric taste, again with hints of grapefruit, and a sweet background maltiness. Mid bitter finish. Didn’t much like this, to be honest.

Bottle.. Amber with a small foam. Aromas are toffee and citrus with lots of spices. Burnt toast with grapefruit. Flavours are sweet malts with herbal notes. Spicy, peppery, nutty and quite fruity. Nice.

Bottle. Pours hazy red amber with almost no head. Good fruity aroma, folled by spicy fruity toffee flavours. Good dry finish. Flat. Decent.

[CASK: The Lass-O-Gowry, Manchester 01/12/06] A very festive fruity ale and a great taste. Good % makes it a perfect Christmas pint. I’m sure Santa wouldn’t get far on Xmas Eve after a few of these...bet he looks forward to a few once he’s finished his round though!
