Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.

Clear medium orange amber color with a small, virtually none appearance, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, nutty - mold - earthy, light caramel. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is flat. [20100120]

A Mes rate: Cask at the Marble Arch.
Cleanish gold with a good white head and lace and decent condition. Lovely earthy and grassy balance in the nose with some faint mineral notes. Similar flavour but there is a slight fatty, meaty note that lets it down. Hints of tobacco and leather in the finish. Not bad by any means but I’ve had better from Bank Top.

imdownthepub (7461) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2010
Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Fest 2010. Amber with white head. Quite a grainy malty beer, husky, earthy then with a drying leafy hop note. It gets to a good level of bitterness making it pretty drinkable.

wyzzywyz22 (1525) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2010
Cask, Market Porter. ’I’m the wyz son, and I haven’t had any dinner......’ Erm, yeah, pallid amber colour with a small white head. Aroma not bad with decent enough traces of hop and summer fruit. Quite a bit in the flavour for a beer this strength, with a reasonable malt/hop balance. Solid effort.
