COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water, Malted Barley (2-Row British and Australian), Hops (Yakima Clusters and Styrian Goldings), Yeast, Sugar, Corn Syrup
Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

[2727-20100126] 355mL bottle. Apple sauce aroma. Clear, light orange yellow body with quick white bubbles. Toasted fizzy grains sauce flavour. Light body is fizzy. Not horrible.

Neat! A beer that is older than me. Sampled at the RBSG ’07 grand tasting, this beer came from a plastic 275 ml bottle. Pours a light golden pale blonde brew with lots of carbonation and a fizzy white head that dissolves quickly when served cold. Aroma of soda crackers, caramel and some grassy hops. Taste is light with a touch of vanilla, and herbal hops. Finish is smooth, slightly bitter and then clean aftertaste. A good balanced light lager.

Pours with a thin white head that soon disappears. Has more flavor than most light lagers, and there is an unusual fizzy mouthfeel. Goes down well on a hot Sacramento summer day. Thanks, Blake - this is my first Barbados beer.

Bottled from Systembolaget as Caribbean Lager Clear golden with a large quickly disappearing head. Maize, some vegetables and sweet maltiness in the aroma. Notes of butterscotch in the flavour. Very light body and low bitterness.

12oz bottle (2010) into a lager glass. The pour is super clear yellow with basically no head and it goes away instantly. The aroma is sweet and sour with dank grains. The flavor is similar with a touch of butter. Not great.

330ml brown bottle. A drinkable and mostly inoffensive standard global lager. Few hops. Dry, indifferent malt. Little flavour. Not great. Serve ice cold!

Bottle. Pours yellow gold with a white head. Light aroma with a strange sweetness. The glavor has a grainy sweetness with some light grassy notes.

355 ml bottle. Banks Caribbean Lager. Brooklyn, NY.
Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Mild earthy malty aroma and flavour. Boring Lager. Might be good when drunk in Caribbean.
