COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water, Malted Barley (2-Row British and Australian), Hops (Yakima Clusters and Styrian Goldings), Yeast, Sugar, Corn Syrup
Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

A gift from my coworker. Cloudy golden pour. The nose is quite sweet and worty. Has a little bit of hop aroma along with a fairly pronounced yeastiness. Sweet and a little bit sugary. Meh.

330ml bottle served in a Weizen glass. A: Pours a standard Lager clear yellow golden color forming a medium white fluffy and soft head. Low retention and some few lacings S: Sweet grains and adjunct grains with an honourable light smell of honey. That’s all. Biscuity Lager style and some flowery hops T: Follows the nose, sweet malts, korn, Lager yeasts, nuts and hops M: Light body, good carbonation. Sweet grains and adjunct grains aftertaste O: Medium drinkability. Well... [ BA Review @ 1/11/2013 ]

Light and thin concoction with an unpleasant sourness dominating the middle and finish. Lots of adjuncts. Miserable.
