Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Watered clear yellow color with minimal white foam. Aromas of, of light malt and sweetcorn, bit dusty and cardboardy (for a lager that is not bad). Palate, light/medium body with dry texture and finish. Taste is quite plain and dryish of malt and grass. Overall it is not bad alger, interesting to try.

Bottle to bottle...not a good craft beer day. Wheat, skunk, hay. Lightish amber, but that’s the best I can do. Taste is a ’classic’ macro pilsner...lots of grains, skunk, no balance.

Bottle 33cl traded with CH-303 thanks ! A clear yellow beer with low head. Nose is on wet paper and corn sugar. Aroma is on wet paper, very very thin, dusty hops, and nothing very very poor, just some vague bitterness at the finish, no aromatic hops.
