COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water, Malted Barley (2-Row British and Australian), Hops (Yakima Clusters and Styrian Goldings), Yeast, Sugar, Corn Syrup
Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Clean grassy and grain aromas. Pale yellow to straw with a fizzy white cap. Well balanced flavors thought somewhat bland. Light bodied with a crisp refreshing finish.

Not great...but I have never expected much from a Caribbean Lager. Very light and drinkable though, as this is high on the list Caribbean beer for me. Would I buy it again? Sure....Wouldn’t go out of my way though

Aroma of sugar and grain. Very sweet aroma. Taste is also sweet and full of grain. Aftertaste is crisp and dry. Mouth is thin. Refreshing on a hot day, but nothing special here.

The head is ok. It smells malty. The taste is malty, mild, a bit unbalanced, a bit bitter. Ok for a Pale Lager! 9/8/9/8/12/8

330 ml shared bottle. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate sweetish aroma, some pilsener malts and grass, not unpleasant though. Medium sweet (or medium dry, if you like) flavour, fairly clean, a little hops in the finish. Could have been worse.

A little better than other cairbean beers so far. Quite premium alike but still not much special.
