Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Okay i guess. For pale lager how much better could it be? But other than that nothing too much more than basic. Pale golden color. Sweet corny grassy aroma. Yeast, barley, and corny flavor.

A gift from my coworker. Cloudy golden pour. The nose is quite sweet and worty. Has a little bit of hop aroma along with a fairly pronounced yeastiness. Sweet and a little bit sugary. Meh.

Low retention and some few lacings S: Sweet grains and adjunct grains with an honourable light smell of honey. That’s all. Biscuity Lager style and some flowery hops T: Follows the nose, sweet malts, korn, Lager yeasts, nuts and hops M: Light body, good carbonation. Light and thin concoction with an unpleasant sourness dominating the middle and finish. Lots of adjuncts. Miserable.
