Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Bottle from Tesco. Review for TheBeerGuy. Don’t expect a lot from this, in fact, why did you buy it? Boring, no taste, nothing special. Tastes of Hay, Grass and Lager. Nothing else.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Clean with some corn, wheat, and grain notes. Easy drinking. Not complex, but a definitely a nice light pilsner for chillin’ at the beach.

Flaska. Guldfärgad med stor vit krona. Gräs och malt i både smak och doft. Sötma i eftersmaken. En standardlager, om än lättdrucken och inte särskilt dum i Barbados-värmen.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with an averaged sized head. Yes! Another pale lager with nothing standing out other than another Pale Lager drank in Trinidad.

Simple, very simple Lager with low aroma but a high drinkability and a slightly sweetish finish. Could have been worse I guess.

Pours out of the bottle in a clear light golden colour with steady low ehad and thin body. Aroma of mild hops and straw. Taste of mild hops, light wheat, straw, mild apples and grains. Watery finish but easy drinkable. Nothing special but not that bad.

Bottle @ Dean to Mouth tasting, courtesy of dEnk. Pours a clear golden beer without any head on top. Aroma is absolutely nothing but a very faint hint of grains. Very watery palate, no taste whatsoever going on here. Very boring, watery lager, that’s it.

Bottle 33 cl. Pale yellow with absent head. Almost no aroma, just the usual cardboard, citrus and vague malty touches. Tastes the same, with a touch of water. Better than one would expect, but nothing to go out of your way for.
