out of the bottle. nose of wet sloopy elmer’s glue. taste has mild sweetness, some grains and slop. corn and slight metal. btw the new godsmack album kicks ass. corn finish lingers, light body.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Banks Caribbean Lager has a thick, white, rather quickly dissipating head, a mostly clear (some roiling white specs cause haze), straw, bubbly appearance, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of a full nose of barley malt, biscuit, sweetness, and grassy hops. Taste is of those elements (think Grolsch), with a small amount of paper in the mix. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Banks Caribbean Lager finishes crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable. RJT

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle strictly for a new country, surprise, surprise. Barbados Budweiser. See Budweiser review. Corn, cloying lingering sweet corn finish, faint grass and vegetables too. Low body, medium carbonation. Why waste the liver for a new country anymore?

Unexpected corn, honey, oaty flavour. Unexpected character in general. Not as crisp as hoped though.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
The beer of Barbados poured from a bottle in Barbados! Very light in color and sparkling clear. Grainy aroma, slightly grassy. Body is light malt, no hop, and a clean finish. Really has little taste to it. Oh well. At least the island is beautiful!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
it pours a light golden color with a white fluffy head. It doesn’t have a strong aroma with a lot of definition although there is grass that is evidence. The taste is okay, crisp, and relatively smooth on the way down.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
0.33l bottle. Expectations? Not sky high. It looks as it should with a soft golden crustal clear body and a small quickly fizzing away white lager head. Vegetables, corn, pale malts and cardboard on the nose. Not much more and definitely not much to enjoy here. This is not one of those you want to just sit and smell for hours. OK, it doesn’t taste horrible at all, but is it anything else than the rest of the pale lagers? Not really. I think of this as a beer that people drank in the old days. When they didn’t have a craft beer marked. I mean it does the job, but it’s just no point what so ever to buy this more than once. Dull stuff. 14.06.2014

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Color is pretty typical for an adjunct lager but a little ore opaque. Aroma is honey, and regular pale lager smell. Taste is crisp for a pale lager, and a little bit of sweetness to it as well, but otherwise fairly standard. Good for what it is, and very refreshing.
