Paradise Forum, Brum, 13/04/14. Scant head on orange bronze body. Nose cats, greenery, peach and gooseberry. Soupy sweet Cali peach throat sweet and honey flavour. Boiled sweet hop. Successfully apes the malt-sweet, smothered hop profile of a WCDIPA. A pity.

Cask Pint at Edward Rayne (JDW), Raynes Park, London in Feb 2014 - Golden Amber in colour. Clear. Off-White head. Good lacing. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops; distinct hop bitterness. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus and tropical fruits. Malty backbone; toasty malts, caramel. Very tasty for ABV. Very bitter hoppy citrus fruity throughout. Dry bitter finish. Enjoyed it. Lets hope that all Session IPAs are this good.

Really good aroma here. If California session beers have to be IPA then that I schoolboy me. A bit of citrus here too. Nice and crisp. Easy to drink.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 10 February 2014. Poured a clear, mid golden colour with a medium white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of citrus, caramel and spruce. Soft fruit flavours with some tangerine and chewy malt. Finish was bitter grassy hop, grapefruit and grain.

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW - London. Pours clear, bright gold with a frothy, off-white head. Lovely aroma, lots of pithy citrus, grapefruit, light piss, melon, mango. Light sweet flavor with pronounced but balanced hop character, further melon, urine, tangerine, grapefruit, faint pine. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced to finish with faint piney resins and grassy bitterness, then lots more juicy hop character, more melon, pee, grapefruit, papaya. Exceptional. Really, this stuff is outstanding.

Cask, Corn Exchange, Leicester. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are biscuit with mango, pine and lemon. Quite astringent with honey and lemon lozenges. Flavours are sweet tropical fruit with green pine and bitter grapefruit. Some minty mouthwash with a herbal, bitter finish. Nice.

Cask at The Narrows (JDW), Abingdon. Gleaming crystal-clear golden-amber with a thin white head and a light fizz. Big tropical fruit flavours with a good kick of pine afterwards. Very refreshing. Yep, it’s a good’un.

8th Feb 2014. Hand-pulled pint in that Wetherspoons in Birmingham under the where the library used to be. I assume this is another collaboration purely for Wetherspoons? Anyway it was alright. Golden body with a white head which gave some good lacing. Mild citrus feel to the floral and fruity nose. The taste was less citrusy than the aroma indicated, there was a pleasant blend of flavours with the malt content sitting nicely with the hops to produce a well balanced and easy drinking IPA with enough about it to be interesting.

Cask at Streatham 'spoons. Pours a clear amber with a slightly off white head. Aroma is biscuit with a little tropical fruit in the background. Medium body, mild carbonation. Very light caramel and some marmaladey flavours, but not sweet particularly. There's a woodiness too and perhaps a little rye breadiness. Finish is fairly dry and bitter with lasting lemon and grapefruit. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
