3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 20, 2007
Bottled, thanks Papsoe! Dark reddish amber, near no head. The nose is arousingly vinous, but gradually turns to paper and caramel. Sweet and medium bodied with clean, slim mouthfeel. A bit boozy with notes of paper. Peppery finish.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2008 Bottle, 9.1%. Very vinous aroma and quite sweet. Quite cloudy dark red colour. The flavour is quite vinous with some alcohol and bitterness. Quite flavourful, but still a bit rough, even though it is a year past BB date. 7 3 7 3 17
Bottle. Slightly oxidized aroma. Caramelly flavour. Quite alcoholic, very peppery, gets a bit rough. Not very complex, just alcoholic. 6 3 5 3 12
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - NOV 21, 2007
Hazy red-brown color with a rather thin creamy cap. Fruity aroma, apples, but also strangely perfumy. It falls more in the English Strong Ale category: medium body strength, dominant caramel flavor, very warming alcohol feeling (almost burning), quite strong hopping. It’s not bad, but it turns too much into a booze-thing than a barley brew.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 KimJohansen (10340) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2008
Clear amber with large white head. Metalic notes in the aroma with hints of caramel. Sweet flavor with caramel, malty and alcohol notes. Boozy nonsense...
