Bottle 27,5 cl. Average beige bubbly head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Hazy copper / amber color. Aroma of mellow rye bread, toffee, roasted malt, mild cherry like, raisins and fruity notes as well. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and thick alcoholic texture. Moderated to heavy sweet flavor with good counter bitterness and a mild twist of acidic. Sweet toasted toffee finish.

Segunda breja da sequência da noite. Chegou pra embalar...
Belíssima cor de cobre envelhecido.
O creme foi se formando aos poucos. Bastante denso e porém sem grande volume. Cor acastanhada clara.
Aroma de groselha doce ou uva. Mas definitivamente, doce.
Sabor de vinho branco, a princípio doce, seguido de um agradável amargor. Tem um pouco de especiarias. Alcool pouco eviddente.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Global Wines, Bearwood. Not too bad. Rich, honey texture. Warming. Does have a bit of rotting vegetation, plus some burnished hubcap. Retains a bit of tramp glamour, but could just as easily be a Mocne.

Can from Co-operative, Littleborough. Clear copper with a small head. It’s very sweet on the nose with berries evident, although a touch less sweet in taste. Has a fair strength.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cellar temp. and into a snifter. Brilliant, thin and translucent medium amber (clearly filtered after pasteurisation). Highly effervescent building up a good two inches of loose foam that quickly fades. A lot of honey on the nose; very soft, subdued, light caramel, butterscotch, white bread. Similar in taste; might as well be toasted bread with honey topping. Astringent finish with a light heat and hefty dryness to the swallow. Clammy, sugary and tinny length. Watery in body; over lagered or just made from highly fermentable sugars? Soapy layer builds and dwells on the tongue. Expected more, but actually only a touch more from Marlston’s. Would love to try the original! (33cL can, BB 31/03/14, Cellarbrations Carlisle)
