Amber with a fine slowly settling beige head. Odd colour for a Mild but so it goes. Lovely and smooth flavour with a slight hint of aniseed notes. Part of the warm up session before meeting up with Yogi & Pivo and later on SilkTork.

Amber color. Delicate: the malty aroma and the flowery taste; very light, absolutely drinkable.

[Cask at Charlie's Bar] The aroma is very light with notes of yeast and esters. The color is amber, it has no head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and fruit. It ends on an OK fruity bitterness. The body is very thin - probably because of the low ABV. I will never think of this as a mild - it neither has the look nor the taste of a mild - it is a light version of a bitter.

Cask Conditioned, The Lock, Wolverley. This is the grandson of the famous Banks's mild in days of yore. It's been rebadged and moved away from the Industrial and great mild it was to this insipid, quite flavourless brew. You wouldn't call it a mild anymore, nor would you call it a bitter or an ale, it's basically nowhere. There is a little fruit perhaps, but no real mouthfilling maltiness that it should have. This is the result of a big brewery playing around with a classic beer.
