3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Alecwallace (83) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2013
Cask - Pale gold and a creamy head, the aroma is citrus and fruity. The flavour is typical of the hop used. Interestingly I wonder if this beer has been fermented with an English Ale yeast which id imagine is Banks house strain variant. It is clean but doesn’t have the simplicity of California Ale yeast and makes it very English than US west Coast.

Cask handpull, The Wellie, Brum, 10/11/12. Slim-headed, fine lacing gold-bronze. Excellent, sessionable grapefruit and dragonfruit hop; breakfast juice and passion fruit in the aroma. Perfumed but punchy. Lime-squirted beef Monster Munch linger; the corn-like notes are a bit offputting but the hops are corking. Good old Banks’s.

High notes of fresh citrus zingy fruity summer bliss. We discussed if this was a session beer or not. Consensus was it tasted beautiful, great balance, but a bit too quick to get you schloozled. Thumbs up for a delicious fruity pint evoking summer meadows and festivals.
