bozoNZ (388), Christchurch, New Zealand Dec 25, 2007 Tasted 2006 bottle b/b Nov06 Toasty mushroom aroma. Solid black, medium body but no head. Burnt toasty malt ale flavours. Moderate sweet finish. Maria (4673), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2007 It’s pitch black with a dark brown head. The aroma has nice notes of roasted malts and a lot of chocolate. The same goes for the flavour, where I also find caramel and coffee. It has a light bitterness and a weak sourness, and it’s a really nice surprise - I would easily have mistaken it for a mild stout. Thanks to Mogens for bringing this back from New Zealand!! DuffMan (2101), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 29, 2005 What a great surprise! Found these three "Wild Spaniard" brews in the supermarket in Lake Wanaka on the South Island of New Zealand. This pours pitch black. Heavy smoke aromas dominate and get the salivary glands working! Palate is smoky, salty, bitter chocolate and caramel. Truly fantastic.
