Darkest brown body, thin head, chocolate, and roasted malts. Enjoyable, drinkable and a great sipper while watching the World Series.

3 oz. draft sample. Rather similar to its sister brew, ABC Real Ale. A slight bitterness was present. Overall it was a tasty, sessionable beer.

bottle... dark clear mahogany, some copper in the middle, a big light tan head, good retention... weak nose that is mostly generic malt, a bit like a light quad no roast or nut notes of typical brown... really boring here, watery roast, just too thin and flavorless to drink, weird dry alcohol finish

Draft at Blaze in Bar Harbor. Dark reddish brown with a thin head. This is also very light-bodied, looking to be a trend among local beers. This drink’s with an exceptionally malty tone, nutty and rife with tree bark. (#4216, 8/21/2011).

On draft. Pour was initially a slightly orangey brown, which later went to an orange with less beer in the glass, strangely light overall for a brown. The head was decent, the aroma not. The aroma was roast, chocolate, caramel. The flavor was roast, chocolate, caramel, nuts, a touch of coffee and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was moderate to full for the style, finishing decently with a bit of roasty bitterness.

I tried this beer in a taste testing at bar harbor brewing company in Maine and bought a 6 pack. The beer is a dark brown ale which is refreshing and flavorful at the same time. It goes great with Maine seafood.

Had a first touch of it at their FREE tasting session on Knox Rd, Bar Harbor, ME. Light brown color with a tiny white head. Malty smell combined with herbal/ leaves aroma. Sweet palate. No bitterness at all. Not bad but not a amazing one.

22 oz bottle. Purchased from the Bar Harbor Brewery in May. Amber red with brown tint. Thin off-white head. Nice bubbly on the tongue carbonation. Not so much in the nose. Taste is grain, roasted malt and a little hop in the finish. Leave the mouth thin and dry in the finish. Very yummy. I would drink again. Shared with AirForceHops.

Small thin layer of white head. Light lace. Nose is roasted malt. Taste is lots of roasted malt that turns into a nutty also walnut taste in the finish. Just the right amount of carbonation, has a velvety smooth mouthfeel. If you like brown ales, no question you will like this brew. A nice job from Bar Harbor. Would drink this again. 22 oz bottle shared by LiteWait.
