22oz bottle, purchased at the brewery. Labeled "brew #002". Pours brown-amber, capped with a minimal tan head. Aroma of caramel malt; blueberry is present in the nose but its not very intense. Flavor of caramel malt, real blueberry, black pepper, and some spice. There’s a little bitterness in the background as well. Long, mildly hoppy finish, with blueberry providing a little tartness. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a medium, off-white head. Aroma is mostly blueberry with a hint of caramel, but not overly sweet. Flavor of natural blueberry (but not too overpowering) and caramel with a hint of hops. Hops and more blueberry in the finish. Light, smooth and refreshing.

[bottle] Blueberry nose and sweet. Hazy copper under a patchy white cover. Interesting black pepper and base malt flavour with a very subtle bitterness and gentle blueberry. Light body and dry, with medium carbonation and a clean finish. Slightly vegetal

3 oz. draft sample. Poured gold with a medium white head. More sweet than the ABC’s confusingly named Bar Harbor Blueberry. This one is more blue, the other is more beer.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2011 Had it at their FREE tasting session on Knox Rd, Bar Harbor. Dark amber body with an off-white foamy head. You can smell a fruity aroma but not specialy blueberry. Smell like old grape soda. You first taste grain and hops, then the fruity part comes in. Although fruity beers are not my style, I was surprise by this one. Not bad after all.

The True Blue pour a hazy gold from the bottle with a light white head. Strong scents of blueberry were present with a bit of malt. This is a light crisp fruit beer where the blueberry is not too strong, but properly assertive.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a light copper with a white head that does not have much staying power. Hints of lacing. Nose brings straight blueberry; somewhat artificial. Taste is the same with a sligt malty sweetness. Feel is light and fairly crisp. Good carbonation. Drinks fairly well and isn’t bad, but isn’t really good either. Bottle 355 ml
Aroma quiet nice straight blueberry notes. Fruity but not too sweet with gentle malt backing.
Appearance clear amber brew with medium white top.
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied, Amber malt as base , hint of maple syrop with blue berry flavor to it. Pleasant ale to have.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light amber with small white head. Nose is BLUEBERRIES. Too much. A bit sweet, a little bit of grainy wheat. Taste is a bit better but still a bit too heavy on the blueberry/sweatness for my likes. Finishes alright, dry with some bitterness. This combination might have potential if done with more subtlety, but this one is just too unbalanced.

pours beep amber with small white head. aroma is bursting with artificial blueberry aroma and malt. drinks mild and malty with a stale wheat base and lots of sweet artificial blueberry flavor pushing above the base. refreshing and fair for the price but not the best out there.

VTHopHead (1387) - Barre, Vermont, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Bottle - Pours a darkish amber in color with a bright whit head that immediately fades. The aroma of blueberries is present as soon as the beer is poured, but fades along with the head. Once settled, the small of blueberries is gone. Flavor is mildly of blueberry, but not as distinct as that initial aroma. Tart, citrus character that is very dry. Finish is clean, without any lingering blueberry.
