Pours a mostly clear amber color with white head. Citrus and cereal grain on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a floral note.

Pours a deep amber color with a thick, creamy off-white head. The pillowy head dampens the aroma, but thereís a bit of caramel and earthiness coming through, along with some floral notes. Taste is not great. Starts out more like an amber with a sweetness thatís appealing, but then a harsh, bitter flavor comes to the fore. Itís not a subtle mix of sweet and bitter. Rather, the bitter just clobbers the malt. The finish isnít bad, but overall itís too much like average home brew.

12oz bottle brought back from the midwest. Poured a clear amber color with a medium white head. Aroma was heavy hop notes - earthy character, some light pine. Flavor was earthy hops, huge malt notes, caramel. A touch more malty than Iíd have liked, but it was pretty clean and easy to drink in the end.

If you have distributors with focus on "craft" brands, without all the mainstream brands, and distributors who actually know beer and care about the quality, you sell more beer. Very simple.

Orange-red pour with an off-white head. Aroma is floral hops and caramel malt. Taste is caramel malt, bisquit, little earthy hops. OK tasting beer. Hoppy aftertaste. Nice lacing.

Finhead (1173) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 5, 2013
Clear, amber-gold pour with a white head. The aroma is a little earthy with herbal and light pine notes. It has a light, watery texture with lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet and easy drinking with smooth, quick finish. Not bad, but not exciting either.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of jcnielsen. Hy-Vee beer? FUCK YEAH! Pours a burnt orange appearance with a light brown head and pretty good retention. Caramelized malty, a bit spicy/cinnamon, generic green herbal hoppy aroma. Doesnít smell incredibly fresh. Burnt sugar, peanut brittle, somewhat smoky, herbal hoppy, strangely sweet flavor. Ummm yeah, no.

12 ounce bottle, $2 single at HyVee, Ankeny, IA. Picked up as part of my scramble to not let November be my month with the fewest ratings ever. Screw-top crown, followed by my sin of pouring into a plain old shaker glass. Appearance is a bright amber, with plenty of thick, orange-y foam. Smell has some light citrus and grassy hop overtones. A fake store brand beer this may be, but at least they are up front about their hop bill. Taste brings up some earthy hop notes suited to an English IPA. This is more hop-forward than their web page suggests. Has a bit of a curdled aftertaste, but that may be my cold speaking. I see that I can trust the Point guys for a solid brew even when contracted.

4 oz sample pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of citrus, floral and malts. Taste of malts and the hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
