On tap @ Baran. Poured by Mr. Ali himself. This is a deep peachy cloudy orange one with a small off-white top. It’s not to storm-hoppy on the nose. More mellow and gentle. Some clear caramel-sweetness going on here, and traces of strawberry juice. It’s light lively on the carbonation with a light fizzing oily mouthfeel. Oh, I was expecting a hop-bomb, but I got a really balanced, well perhaps a bit on the sweet side, berry-bomb with both cran- and sweet seasonal strawberries. A bit earthy to towards the finish. I’m actually quite impressed with this one. Really drinkable and tasty, but the name is a bit misleading. 01.04.2013

On tap at Baran, Bergen. Pours hazy dark amber with a small off-white head.Aroma of grassy and fruity hops, nutty malts. Taste is first of all a strong malty body, with a light piney bitterness, not bad at all. Medium bodied. Lingering dry bitter.

On tap @ Baran Cafe, Bergen. Dark hazy orange-brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is red berries, grass, bubble gum, hints of banana and pine. Taste is piney bubble gum and red berries with hints of grass. Full to medium body, medium carbonation. A bit sweet, but a nice enough and quite accessible APA.

On tap at Baran, Bergen. Pours a pretty hazy dark straw-yellow colour with a off-white creamy medium head. Aroma of hay, belgian yeast, some fruits and hops. A lot of grass in the flavour along with hay and again I find belgian yeast. There’s some hops and apricot as well, and has a dry ending. Has a soft and slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A decent ale but more of a belgian ale than an IPA.
