3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Derek881 (726) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - JAN 25, 2011
Purchased while living in Buenos Aires, and poured into a wine style glass to drink. The beer had an amber-brown color that was somewhat cloudy with a good-sized creamy tan head. The aroma featured caramel malt with some fruity and grainy hops, and a slight floral effect too. Its taste was sweet and malty, mostly with caramel and a bit of grainy sourness as well. It had a fairly wet mouthfeel, was a good bit creamy, and had low to average carbonation. Pretty good Argentinian beer, though it seemed to be more like a red ale than a pale ale... perhaps a poor translation.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber/reddish color wit a small off-white head. Has a weak malty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish.

Surprising founding at a department store in Barcelona. Reddish colour, very solid head. Herbal aroma and nice complex flavour - herb, malt and slight fruitiness. Very good, much better than I expected.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 davidpl (435) - Santiago, CHILE - SEP 13, 2007
Appearance: light mahogany color. Great head, beige color, medium consistency and good persistency.
Aroma: very sweet and caramels malty, butterscotch touch. Fruitiness of peaches and ripe plums. Soft toasty and smoky. I remember an “alfajor”. Soft hoppy.
Flavor: strangely some insipid. And the caramel malts?. Light toasty aftertaste. Fruitiness similar to stone peach. Light but persistent dryness mainly from the toast malts, soft hoppy finish.
Palate: light to medium body, low carbonation.
I believe than this is an attempt of amber ale, some insipid, but I remember me a soft and mediocre bitter English.

Pours a clear dark copper color. Head is medium, off-white and creamy. It diminishes quickly into a tiny film and a fair lacing.
Aroma is malty, showing notes of cereal grains, straw and soft caramel together with butter, red apples and dark tea.
Flavor is flat and bittersweet with lots of cereal flavor, apples, smoked tea and grapes. Decent but a little watered down. The finish is pretty bitter with a good hoppy punch.
Body is medium, oily texture. Carbonation is non-existant at least in my bottle. Finish is pretty sticky and alcohol is well present. Good aftertaste.
Not a bad beer, not exciting either. Feels like a nitro English Bitter.
Bought in my trip to Mendoza, Argentina
