Izio (40), Germany Nov 11, 2009 Slighty hazy Gold color, good carbonation and white medium lasting head. Aroma: Honey, caramel, hoppy (floral). Flavor: sweet, honey, hoppy, slighty sour, nice bitterness. Good Ale. 330 ml, in Bar @ Berlin. ROGUE (627), Newark, Delaware, USA Nov 5, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a good looking light hazy gold under a thick two finger head that lingers well with lacing. Aroma of honey and musty yeast with notes of coriander. The taste is a blend of sweet malt and honey, with generous flavor added from the coriander and orange peels. Moutfeel is velvety smooth and creamy, with moderate carbonation. JCB (1716), Durham, North Carolina, USA Nov 5, 2009 Picked this up at some joint on the street in Montreal, so I could sup on something back in l’hotel. Pleasantly surprised to say that this is a lively, if not overly complex ale that has a robust yeasty body backed by fairly modest spice and honey elements in the finish. I’ve never been the biggest fan of bieres de miel, but this one has a gritty, saison-like character that almost wins me over. Nice. jujubeast6000 (772), Houston, Texas, USA Nov 5, 2009 Reviewed 8/16/2009 (Draft at Flying Saucer, Houston, TX; sold as "Made with Mexican Honey"):
Pours a golden clear orangish colored body, with a big frothy creamy white head, lastingish. Spicy aroma, some orange peel. Lemon and citrus. Floral taste, sweet and almost sickly. Strong honey taste. Some citrus and orange and lemon too. Mostly light tasting, sweet aftertaste, very floral. delnoche (214), Germany Nov 5, 2009 33cl bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear golden with ample creamy white head. Aroma is biscuit, spice, candy, honey. Flavor is honey, citrus, some spice. Finish is sweet and a bit acidic. Interesting brew. BeerChaser0078 (291), Melbourne, Australia Nov 1, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden pour with a short-lived, bubbly white head. Aroma is mainly of honey and malt with slight notes of citrus and stonefruit. Flavour also has honey and malt upfront with hints of citrus, pineapple, banana and a little bit of spice. Medium body with prickly carbonation and a long sweet, slightly dry, finish. This is a well crafted beer, the sweetness being fairly well balanced, however its just not my sort of thing. toby540 (13), Belgium Oct 19, 2009 zeer zout en fris met een lekkere honing smaak maar een beetje flets schuim is snel weg jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2009 Bottle split with Tony.
