ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2007 Awesome brew. Pours a nice orange color with a big fluffy head. Smells of hops and floral. Tastes super sweet and smooth with notes of hone and hops. Really great and balanced beer. OldMrCrow (1179), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 15, 2007 Bottle.
Pours a clear light orange with a modest white head; yeast-driven aroma of honey on fresh-cut green apples. The flavor is somewhat sweet, again that honey, apricots underneath, very fruity with a delicious smoothness that goes down easy even on a thirsty palate. Some nice modest spicyness, floral hops on the late end rounding it out with the right element of dryness to balance te whole thing nice.
I really quite like this beer and will certain add it to the Belgian-beer rotation in my fridge. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2007 Clear orange bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Fresh, sweet honey and grassy hop aroma has a touch of light fruity esters. Body starts with a mild caramel and honey sweetness along with some earthy grassy spice and a crisp, but thinner, bittersweet finish. Really true to style and enjoyable. A me è parsa davvero ottima. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel Aug 12, 2007 Draught. Hazy light brown colour which is not appealing. Light malty aromas, strong alcohol presence and a cloying sweetness, feels as though you are drinking a candy. very dissapointing. BeerBiker (1384), Odense, Denmark Aug 6, 2007 [Bottle from svoger in 2004.]
Blond in its profile and then added amounts of honey. Not that bad! Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 31, 2007 330 ml bottle. Golden amber body with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt with honey and spices. Flavor is sweet, spicy with a clear honey flavor. Alcohol in aftertaste. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2007 Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was very sweet with lots of honey and a hint of orange. The flavor was sweet, spicy honey with a spritzy orange undertone. Very interesting.
