JFURYCAT (782), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2007 I personally love mead but this honey beer falls a few yards short of a first down even though the sweet honey element predominates, its backed up by a yeasty watery flavor which seems to muddle it a bit and make it less complex. Easy to drink though with well hidden alcohol. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 23, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a godd sized white head that fades to a ring and leaves some lacing. Aroma of honey, citrus, and coriander. Taste is the same as aroma but has a bit of carbonic bite. Medium full mouthfeel that finishes somewhat dry. Good. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Jul 21, 2007 Bottle. Definite orange and coriander on the nose. Wheat and a hint of pine and honey sweetness. Pours rich gold with a small creamy white head. Spicy carbonation gives way to a pleasant orange and honey sweetness. Hides the 8% well. Lively carbonation. Finishes rather dry. BelgianBeerGal (1276), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 21, 2007 Updated: Jul 29, 200933cL bottle in Ghent pub. Remarkable beer that was not overly sweet considering the honey influences. Don’t be afraid, ladies like it but I don’t consider it a "Chick Beer". 8 ABV not detectable. jalichio999 (502), Brazil Jul 20, 2007 Updated: Aug 28, 2008Coloração âmbar, espuma branca. Notas cítricas e florais, além do mel, é claro. Aroma muito bom. Carbonatação média. Final seco e levemente amargo. Snoro (223), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 17, 2007 Dans un vers Trappist, elle est excellente! Belle couleur, sens le miel et a un bon goût de miel qui descend bien dans la gorge. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jul 14, 2007 Golden with highly carbonated off white head. Aroma is pretty faint honey and spice, can’t pinpoint. Flavor cloyingly sweet honey, ultra-carbonated, dries the beer out in the finish. Just average at best. chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2007 This was a surprise my Dad brought over. Has a sticky honey taste with some coriander spice. Had a unique taste to it. I didn’t think this was an 8%. This reminds me of something between a Belgian Blond and Wit.
