The orange also is a heavy hitter with the honey keeping it sweet. Nice mouthfeel with a great malty finish. I disagree with most and think that the alcohol is well hid, however it is a bit astringent with some lingering sourness. Nice overall, smells like hell. nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 10, 2007 Updated: Jun 20, 2007The aroma has honey, fruit, yeast, spice, malt, and a hint of ocean water. The appearance is golden with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. I like it but don’t love it. hopchild (1), charleston, South Carolina, USA does not count Jun 9, 2007 Presented in the Barbar frosted mug makes it look really inviting. Nice fluffy cool whip head. Nose like honey nut cherrios, nice up front but alcohol lingers a bit too long. Overall, pretty tasty. I would drink again if someone else was paying. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 9, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours Pale golden with a decent size white head. Aroma of spices, yeast, and fruit. The flavor is sweet upfront, fruit, spices, smooth for 8%, and a presence of hops in the finish. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA Jun 6, 2007 New-ish in Town. Has a healthy dose of fusel alcohol with some dry grain notes and a sort of spent aroma associated with very dry bread just before it turns stale. The body is a light golden color and holds a thumb thick white head that fades slowly. Kind of medicinal/herbal bitter in the fore with a dry spicy malt/honey finish. Reminds me a lot of another honey brewed beer, Orange Blossom Pilsener...only this one has much more noticeable alcohol. YK23 (253), Haifa, Israel Jun 3, 2007 From tap: pretty tasty beer, kind of yeasty, some spice, some hops, pretty malty, little medicinal, some grapes notes, of course the honey is evident, very sweet and a little alcoholic.
