Bottle @ Delirium Cafe 27/05/06. Taste the honey but not cloying with cinnamon hints. Girlfriend said it taste like a beer?. Thin with an aftertaste of honey, coriander and vanilla. Honey was good cinnamon was good and not heavy.

Bottle, at The Rover, Göteborg. This beer includes 2.5% honey. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Pleasant but not very strong flowery aroma, some honey but not dominant. Flavour is sweetish, but not much is going on besides the honey. Alcohol is well hidden, though.

Tasted 26/08/2006. 330ml bottle from Rumble’s, Wellington. Mid-gold, rose hints, with volcanic carbonation. Large creamy white head, which persists and laces strongly all the way down the glass. Honey and underlying bubblegum ester are what first strike me on the nose. Light woody spices are picked up later, as the bubblegum dissapates. Barley sugar and honey notes in the sweetness, which is a little overwhelming. Phenolic spices and alcohol show through in the finish, with a little hint of citrus too. Smooth in the mouth, carbonation is soft - despite it’s volcanic appearnce. Well made strong ale but just a little too much sweetness and phenols for my liking.

Bottle. High white head. Hazy yellow body looking to have a lot of carbon dioxide. Sweet honey aroma. Pleasant dry honey hops flavor plus alcohol. Not as sweet as feared probably because of the alcohol.

Blonde body with medium particles, small beige head. Aroma of pilsner, sweet and wheat malts, honey. Bitter and sweet fruity hoppy flavour, quite unidimensional.

I wonder why I haven’t rated this years ago (I am convinced I tasted it in a Belgian beer sampling a few years ago). Anyway, wheat, fruit, and honey are the main characteristics of this decent Belgian Strong Ale.
