Barbar Belgian Honey Ale

bottle. nice fluffy head. nice taste with minor honey flavouring. alcohol content somewhat disguised. pretty average, but nice to try.

Bottle. High white head. Hazy yellow body looking to have a lot of carbon dioxide. Sweet honey aroma. Pleasant dry honey hops flavor plus alcohol. Not as sweet as feared probably because of the alcohol.

Blonde body with medium particles, small beige head. Aroma of pilsner, sweet and wheat malts, honey. Bitter and sweet fruity hoppy flavour, quite unidimensional.

Bottle. Amber colour with a medium mostly diminishing white head. Aroma of sweet malts and honey. Over carbonated.

I wonder why I haven’t rated this years ago (I am convinced I tasted it in a Belgian beer sampling a few years ago). Anyway, wheat, fruit, and honey are the main characteristics of this decent Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottle, 0,25l. Pours with a huge head that stays a long time. Very exquisite aroma of flowers. The taste is surprisingly hoppy, and that makes this beer feel fresh. The honey cane be felt more strongly in the finish. A beer for my girl.

Bottle. Clear dull copper pour, eggshell head. Smells very sweet and floral with coriander, sugar, and subtle honey. Also notes of yeast and funk. Taste is thankfully less sweet with alcohol and the back end. Honey also shines through nicely. Coriander, yeast, and what I identify as candy sugar / kandis. Much hoppier and dryer than I’d expected. Ingredients roll-call lists curaçao. Mouthfeel is a little harsh, other than that, high marks for character.

this beer was fantastic. the great taste hides the 8%. honey aroma, honey taste with plenty of citrus. they taste so good you have to keep count on how many you go through.
