Pours a cloudy orange copper with a large frothy white head that leaves behind good sticky lacing. The aroma is a fruity malt with a strong honey. Thin mouthfeel with a dry wheat taste with honey and fruit. A good belgian strong ale. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA

Aroma of sweet honey and some light fruits. Lots of honey in the flavor. Some grainy wheat and light hopping as well. Sticky mouthfeel. Low carbonation levels. The alcohol is well hidden. Drinkability is pretty high despite the sweetness. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Found this in a crowd of recent US microbrewery’s who seem to have consumed nearly available shelf space at the local shops. Kind of, em, overkill guys. Anyhow, poured into a tulip style glass. Cloudy, icy, and a nice honey hue. Nose is very floral, very yeasty, and somewhat alcoholic. Nice bouquet and sweet nectar. Taste is honey and yeast with a alcoholic bite. Some vintage type flavours and bread. Citric after tones but everything seems to fade away prematurely. judasbeer (242), Budapest, Hungary
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Clear golden color with quite weak, fizzy head. Moderate sipcey, honeyish aromas. Cloves, coriander with moldy cheese flavors.
Quite smooth bodied indeed. More balanced, easier in the alcohol level than the bock one. JohnnyJ (1309), Carlsbad, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a small fluffy white head. Aroma is very sweet, lots of honey, sweet breadiness and malt with just a bit of spiciness. I know what they are going for but it seemed overly sweet, not balanced enough. Flavor is much of the same, a huge amount of sweet, partially balanced by some spices. It is slightly better than the aroma, as the alcohol gives a bit of a bite along with some fruitiness in the finish. Medium body and a bubbly active carbonation. Again, just not much balance, somewhat refreshing and easy drinking for the high alcohol but you gotta expect more from a Belgian strong ale
