Bottle from Mr Lawrence wine merchants, Brockley. Drank from the Barbar frosted glass. Pours a cloudy orange, maybe unsurprisingly a ’honey’ colour with no discernable head. Aromas of citrus, honey (of course), candi sugars, strawberries, nice fruity aromas. Flavours of honey, banana, toasted bread, caramel. Finishes nice and sweet with only a slight bitterness. Refreshing.

Bottled @room temp., served in Barbar "frosted" class
Orange yellow with steady foamy white head, lace. Malt-honey aroma. Medium-body. Quite tasteless malts with a bit honey sweetness. Bitter alcoholic finish. Drinkable blond. (6/4/5/3/13 3.1)
Rerated bottle BB 03/2007
Golden color, small white head. Strong honey aroma. Carbonated, bitterish, mixed with honey. Sweeter when aged? (7/3/8/4/15 3.7)

Bottle, BB 1/17/09. Poured kind of a milky medium orange with a short cap of eggshell head. The aroma initially struck me as more of a sweet mead than a beer, with honey accented by floral notes.. ginger and coriander emerge with warmth.. dark, sweet, and intriguing. The flavor also picked up a lot of honey along with pale malts at the core.. peppery yeast laced throughout.. wheat and lemony tartness were quite enjoyable.. finished spicy and tart, but well-supported by the honey. Medium-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. warm, different, and tasty.

Bottle, Aikmans, St Andrews. Mid-gold with a big fluffy white head that fades to a thin one. Nice and sweet nose, helpings of honey, with some citrus nose too. Mouth is much more honey-y, with some cinnamon and coriander to note too. Quite nice really, if a little too much honey.

Reviewed 8/16/2009 (Draft at Flying Saucer, Houston, TX; sold as "Made with Mexican Honey"): Pours a golden clear orangish colored body, with a big frothy creamy white head, lastingish. Spicy aroma, some orange peel. Lemon and citrus. Floral taste, sweet and almost sickly. Strong honey taste. Some citrus and orange and lemon too. Mostly light tasting, sweet aftertaste, very floral.
