From a bottle this pored clear gold, with white head, and light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and honey. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor of sweet malts and some floral hops mixed with the honey. Lot of honey beer do not show the honey. This one does and is enjoyable.

[Bottle from svoger in 2004.] Blond in its profile and then added amounts of honey. Not that bad!

Compact and creamy foam, good persistence. Yellow golden color, amber reflex, not much bubbly. Lightly torbid and much loads. Intense alcohol and malty scent, light honey and sugar string. Warm and powerful taste, solid and with overbearing notes of caramel and sugar. Long and little bitter end.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Honey, coriander and some malts in aroma. Sour orange and coriander mainly in flavour, with hints of honey. Quite flavourful beer.

Bottle at Baltic Fleet,Liverpool. Golden with thick creamy head. Quite perfumed aroma with some tropical fruit flavours, banana, mango, then sweetness kicks in with hop finish. Bit sweetish, nice peach fruit and quite creamy. Didn’t know this was a honey beer, but the sweetness now makes sense.

A Mes rate: Stunned to discover we had not already rated this and the Winter Bok so we squeezed a couple of quick ones in at ZBF. Cloudy amber coloured with a very white head that settles quickly. Sweet and yeasty all round with a slightly spiced finish. Not the best honey beer, certainly not the worst. So so.

Bottle (330ml). At Volo. Poured hazy yellow with a big foamy white head. Aroma of honey and grain, esters and banana candy malt. Taste of honey, spices, sugary malt and vague hops - very clean, a generic belgian witbier aroma hovering around in there. Mouthfeel sweet and sticky with an average body. Overall quite nice and quaffable, perhaps too sweet but better than any Canadian honey brew I’ve ever had.
