Bottle. Body-dark cola with a thick ring of bubbles. Nose-grape soda, flat Dr. Pepper. Taste-high sharp CO2, the smell of dog biscuits, grapey, metal, husk, light coriander, maybe just a hint of orange zest, cola, banana. Tastes like Ziegen Bock fermented with Belgian Yeast. Not a great beer.

Brad bought a bottle to taste at Pizza Port’s bottle shop. Large bubbles quickly fading to medium bubbles. Dark amber color. corriander pronounced in aroma. Alchohol is noticable and brings out the orange peel arom, when you taste. Lots of banana from the yeast.

My low rating belays the fact that I liked this pretty well, but the thin pallate just sank it’s rating for me.

On tap @ Poechenellekelder. Brown beer with a fluffy head, rich spicy aroma. Rich, malty and sweet brew with some brown sugar elements, besides the honey. It was immediately tasty, but I couldn’t hang for the whole mug. Too sweet for me. Warming. Good for the holidays, I reckon.

Bottle. Unclear, deep brown body, with a beige head. Sweetish nose with some tea, quite fruity. Nice flavor as well, with fruits, tea, heather (?) and candisugar. Medium body. The finish has tea, fruityness, roastiness and some heater. A bit strange for a bock, but nice anyway. (070809)

Dark brown colour, tan head, disappearing quickly. Aroma of malts and spices. Flavours of sweet malts, liquorice and caramel. Lots of carbonation. Alcohol well present, however still drinkable.

A dark mahogany body with a rapidly fading head. Ample lacing. Sweet and fruity aroma, cherries and maple syrup. Also some cinnamon, and yeastiness. Very malty taste, with lots of liqourice, cherry and caramel. Low CO2. A pleasant surprise.
