330 ml bottle. Pours a deep brown with a short-lasting pale beige head. Smells like caramel, chocolate and brown sugar. Tastes like caramel, honey, brown sugar, orange and fruity citrus. Slight bit of citrus bitterness in the finish. Medium to full bodied, somewhat strong carbonation. Solid honey brown (belgian?).

Bottle 330 ml. Pours dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma: honey and spices. Taste is sweet, but fairly well balanced. Very low carbonatation. A very good one if you like sweet beer. Bouteille 30 ml. Robe brune foncée avec un collet beige moyen. Arôme: miel et épices. Gout sucré, assez bien balancé. Très faible carbonatation. Bonne bière pour ceux qui aiment les bières sucrées.

Winter Bock; 23 Nov 2010: The fourth and final Belgian Honey Beer is an evening of Belgian Honey Beers: Flip-top 330ml brown bottle, poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass. Reddy-brown body, dark, but clear when held up to the light. A weak tan coloured head tried to sit on top for a while. Heavy malt molasses in the aroma, with honey undertones. The taste was of really sweet malty molasses, again with that undertone of a honey presence. I found the beer both strange and too sweet. I generally like the sweeter brews, but this was over the top for me, almost sicky sweet towards the end of the mouthfeel.

Bottle 33 cl, Fleurs du Malt. Pours clear deep ruby mahogany with a big shortlived tanned head. Aroma is malty, a bit sour, breadytoasted, honey sweet and fruity. Flavor is sweet fruity and very crispy, more acidy sourness yet not too much in the middle with bitterness and spices with a touch of phenols towards the end. Finishes longlived spicy bitter and a bit peppery.

33cl flip-top bottle. Pours a dark brown with a nice offwhite head with long retention. Smells sweet, of honey, dark malts, and belgian yeast. Tastes of a heavy honeyed sweetness, with some mellowing malts and only a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily texture. Really quite nice.

redpooba (169) - New York, USA - MAR 7, 2012
A dark brown with hues of crimson mixed in contrasts well with its large white head. The winter months need those extra calories from the rich malts giving a very complex and thick beer. It is sweet but not fruity. This beer should be sought after.

With a non sweet malty smell this beer pours brown with a small head. It tastes sweet to the lips with a short abrupt aftertaste that has some carbonation to it.
