Dark chestnut brown with an off-white head with TONS of lace. Dark fruit & caramel, cherry. Taste is pleasantly sweet, more dark fruit and grape in the finish, subdued but still complex and lingering. Body is lightly creamy, good carbonation. No obvious spice overtones, just well-balanced and blended. So very quaffable.

Draft at Blind Tiger. Pours a dark brown body with a tan head. Fruity smokey caramel lager notes. Chewy sweet chocolate covered cherries, and Grape Nerds Candy Per RUBONE. Finishes sweet and a bit tart. Awesome unexpected brew.

Bottle 33cl. Nice sweet and malty brown beer. The whole taste is not very complex but the honey flavour is to be appreciated.

Pours a transluscent, very dark ruby color with a moderately full, fizzy, beige head which settles to a very small creamy, frothy layer and leaves some tight Belgain lace. Nose is filled with figs, dates, and raisins with some white grapes, faint coriander, nutty bread, hints at anise, and a mild warth; not very bock-like. Flavor is similar with dark and dried fruits being mostly dominant; notes of fig and raisin to start with some nutty breads, toffee, faint anise, and some notes of coriander. Palate is more than medium, nearly lively, and lightly velvety. Finishes fairly long with only a touch of spice dryness and bitterness to keep from being too sweet; notes of toasted almonds, dates, and hints at herbs. I really liked this one with all of the sweet and fruity notes, so much complexity, and the palate suported everything well. The addition of the honey only added to the sweetness and dryness but never really made a presence in the notes, and the spicing just added some complementary notes to the beer. It is nice to see a beer add adjuncts to the beer as undertones rather than domination. However, this may be a Belgian-inspired bock, but the Belgian yeast notes bring so much to the beer, it is hard to see this as a dunkler bock. Underrated in my opinion.

Pours a dark chocolate brown with lots of carbonation and a big foamy frothy tan head which dissapears after a while. Smell is cloves, sweet, wheat, malt. Taste is spicy and sweet, cloves, prunes, raisens, yeasty classic dark belgian ale with a sweet honey finish without being cloying. Pleasant and enjoyably complex.
