A dark brown almost black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and complex with notes of plum and dates. A mellow very complex flavor hits You then it turns sweet then alcoholic combined with pricklyness with notes of raisins and hints of smoke - a fantastic soft complex and filling beer - great complexity. Try it - if You can find it.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark golden, slightly hazy with a fine, creamy head. Lovely spicy nose. Sweetish, perhaps a bit sticky, presumably with added honey like in the original "Barbar". A pronounced bitterness manages to contain and balance the sweetness. Close enough to a German Bock, although this is top-fermented. 030200

Dark brown; head like a chocolate malted – foams up quickly then comes down. Combo of sweet honey, slight tobacco, caramel and demerara. Starts very sweet – a kiss of cool honey but mostly toffeeish. Some light apple notes, no hops and the yeast in largely a non-factor. Straightforward, very sweet. If you can handle such sweetness, you’re on.
