330 ml bottle. Dark, reddish brown body with a big beige head. Aroma is malty with a little hint of sweet, dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, caramel and candy sugar. A certain bitter finish. I assume there is supposed to be some honey added, but I am not able to sense this.

Bottled, 330ml from La Cave de L’Estam, Verdun, France. Dark brown with cream head. Honeyed but also slightly tart beer, fruity, apricot, plum with the overlaid syrupy note. Quite heavy on the palate, there is a roasty malt background too. Reasonable.

On tap. Very dark ruby colour, almost black. Large frothy head, good duration. Aroma of caramel, notes of cherry, roasted. Overall complex. Higher ABV is noticeable in mouth, but nothing dramatic. Taste initially very sweet, a slight bitterness appears after a while. Medium duration of finish. Medium to heavy body. Overall quite complex beer, well balanced, good drink.
